Another one of my sketchbook drawings that is not 100% polished but I love it anyway. ^v^ I was trying to draw an owl with a bunch of cool patterns on its feathers. It kind of was based off of both the barn owl and the snowy owl types. Anyway, I know that this drawings is very rough, but please comment and tell me what you think! ^v^

Woooooooooo! Owls! I love owls!
Well, actually, I'm not a fan of seeing them in real life cause they kind of creep me out. But drawings of them are amazing! And I love the cute chibi versions that you sometimes see as well. :D
This is very nice, MP~ :huggle: I love the idea of putting cool designs on its wings and head. I also love the texture on its chest, you can almost feel the soft feathers.

I actually have never seen an owl in real life. >.<'' Sad, no? Ooh, and thanks! I used a lot of the hard weight pencil types like a 6H to get the texture on some of the lighter feathers. Those Q-tip ear cleaner things also really work well for getting soft blends along with tissues. Graphite drawings are really fun to work on. ^v^ Thanks so much! :D

Owls are so pretty! I'm doing a piece of some owls but they are all the doctor from doctor who. haha your art is so inspiring and awsome!

Ooh, yes, you told me about the Dr. Who owls. ^v^ I like the slight pun of the concept- Dr. Whooooo. (Like the sound an owl makes. ^v^) How is it coming out? I remember you said last time that it was bringing you into a state of art rage because one of them would not fit on the page right.

Yay! I can not wait to see the completed version! :D I have kind of realized that sometimes starting over on a drawing and re-drawing it can really help. I found that when I re-draw a picture, it sometimes ends up looking better than the first go-around, that is kind of like how my Skyward Sword picture went. >v<

Yeah my owl peice went that way too. The first go around I hated my piece of the owls and slipped into insanity.

I have slipped into insanity so much when doing art before. One of the worst ones is always when I get the rest of the line art right and the background or colors turn out bad. >.<'' I am so scary during my art rage attacks, I am like a combination of Ghirahim, Princess Azula, and the Happy Mask Salesman when that happens. 0.0
